Why?

The idea of sailing to the West Indies was born during a warm summer night on our way to Fårö.

A J80, is an eight metre long racing boat with the same conveniences as a two-man-tent and is so fast that it even leaves some 40-feet boats behind. J80 boats have been sailed in races like Gotland Runt and other ocean races many times but still, no one has crossed the Atlantic Ocean in one. We will change that during the autumn 2007.

So follow us during our preparations and also during our journey to the West Indies in one of the smallest racing boats!

Hi Dirk! The swell in Tarifa was pretty massive. Lots of fun! :-) Biarritz was not so great though. According to the locals the wind's usually fairly gusty and it didn't blow at all when we where there.

Hey boys, what's up? Did you get the predictet fat swell in Tarifa? What's Biarritz like for kiting? I'm back at university hardcore-studying and sleeping a lot, still weak from the illness. Tomorrow will bring a nice easterly breeze to our lakes here and I might not stand the temptation of trying my new board in our icy flat waters. Hope you're having a good time!
